The Fennec Fox has hair on the soles of its feet to protect them from the burning heat of the Sahara Desert sand.
Join Taronga Zoo's Volunteer Bushcare Team
Every month, like minded people gather to enjoy each others company and roll up their sleeves to help our local bushland. The hard work we do for the bush contributes to a healthy habitat for plants and animals and the beauty of Sydney Harbour's foreshore.
The view is worth a million dollars - the coffee and cake are free!
The Harbour's bushland needs as much help as it can get
We meet at the Artist's Camp, Little Sirius Cove generally every second Sunday of the months from 8.30am -12.00pm (see Location Map for directions) On the day you will need casual comfortable cloths, preferably long sleeves and long trousers gloves and a hat. We supply tools and suntan lotion.
Or for more information contact the Bushcare coordinator Wendy Kinsella on (02) 9978 4661 or email wkinsella@zoo.nsw.gov.au
