Meet the Elephants
Thong Dee - 'Golden'

Thong Dee is the smallest elephant in the Taronga herd. She is short for her age and is also easy to distinguish due to the notch at the top of her right ear.
Luk Chai - 'Son'

Luk Chai is the first Asian elephant calf to be born in Australia.
He is strong, confident and a very active calf who loves exploring and is especially fond of swimming.
Gung - 'Prawn'

Gung is the only male in our group. He is a very energetic young elephant and like all young boys, likes to show off and cause as much mischief as possible.
Porntip - 'Gift From Heaven'

Sex : Female
Porntip originally came from an elephant camp on the outskirts of Pattaya in southern Thailand. She was used to give rides to tourists prior to arriving in Taronga Zoo's breeding program.
