As part of the DEC Recovery Plan for this unique Australian species to enhance the dwindling populations in the wild Taronga Conservation Society staff will contribute technical expertise to the Recovery Team and maintain captive populations at Taronga and Western Plains Zoos for breeding and release purposes.

The Taronga Conservation Society Australia works in partnership with the Waterfall Springs Wildlife Sanctuary.
